NASM/AFAA PREP COURSES
Become a Certified Personal Trainer Or Fitness Instructor
Fitness & Wellness offers you the opportunity to become a certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor each year. Both courses will prepare participants for the NCCA accredited National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Personal Trainer and Athletic & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Group Fitness Instructor certification exams. No experience necessary.
These courses are not for academic credit. Each course requires a substantial time commitment both in and out of class.

Class Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:00-3:30PM
Course Format: Virtual course lectures via Microsoft Teams and online modules (required) with optional in-person practical sessions. Class participants will be sent a link to join lectures. Lectures are recorded.
Additional Course Features:
- NASM full online study system (includes modules for each chapter, practice quizzes, videos, audio files, sample materials, content area study guides, and access to schedule the certification exam)
- Hard copy of the NASM Personal Trainer book
- NASM digital library of exercise technique demonstration
- Live lectures (these will also be recorded in case you miss a day or need to go back to review) from experienced, NASM certified personal trainers
- Opportunities for practical application of content
- Direct access to the course instructors (Fitness & Wellness Staff & NASM certified personal trainers)
