In response to high demand and student feedback, the University of Georgia’s department of Recreational Sports has announced a renovation project to add around 10,000 square feet of strength and conditioning space to the Ramsey Student Center.

The University of Georgia’s Ramsey Student Center staff—members including Caroline Caplinger, Stephanie Calhoun, Jason James, and Marty Mullis– have had notable involvement in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Women’s Flag and Men’s Tackle Football State Championships in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
This group of seven students are in a unique position on campus as they now find themselves running the fitness & wellness program within the Department of Recreational Sports. Due to their supervisor being out for maternity leave, these students now oversee, coordinate, communicate and plan for the entire program.
